The HC Practitioner course provides two levels of qualifications in aspects of human capital management: the HC Practitioner Certificate, and the HC Practitioner Intermediate Certificate.
These courses are comprised of 6 courses, and are typically one day duration each, although in certain circumstances they are combined into two/three day programmes. An intensive five day programme is available to allow participants to complete all six courses within one week.
HC Practitioner Certificate
This course is designed predominantly for professionals working within the HR function, with 2-6 years of related experience. Professionals will typically be part- or fully-CIPD qualified, although this is not necessarily a specific requirement.
The certificate defines human capital management and its relevance to organisations and employee performance. Through an introduction to organisational business/operating models, participants will enhance their understanding of the role and 'value proposition' of the HR function, and how to ensure that its effectiveness and interventions add value.
Participants will benefit through enhanced understanding of their own organisation and HR function, and the means to identify where human capital management requires enhancement. Advanced tools and approaches are introduced to help participants and their HR functions have maximum impact within their organisation.
Completion of the HC Practitioner Certificate allows participants to progress to Intermediate Certificate level, and the more specialist VB-HR™ Rating Practitioner and HC Reporting courses.
HC Practitioner Intermediate Certificate
This course examines key areas of human capital management from an applied perspective, covering management development, performance management, retention, and reward. Its completion provides participants with a detailed understanding of how to ensure that key human capital management processes are effective within their own organisations.
Completion of the Intermediate Certificate allows participants to progress to the separate course Advanced HC Practitioner.
