The CHCO Advanced Certificate series provides senior HR professionals and those responsible for functional performance with a structured modular programme designed to provide insights and approaches to enhance functional and organisational performance. It is particularly appropriate to those who have short-term aspirations of Directorship and/or who have recently been promoted to this type of role. Participants may be already accredited as an Advanced HC Practitioner, or hold equivalent business-related Diploma/Masters qualifications.
The certificate is divided between four core modules and one optional module. Each module consists of three courses, each typically one day in duration. An intensive five day programme is available to allow participants to complete two of the four core modules within one week timeslots.
The four core modules provide a structured approach towards all aspects of directing an HR function to add value within the organisation. This structured approach examines the HR function itself from a strategic and operational perspective, before placing this, and human capital itself, within the organisational context. An optional fifth module introduces CHCOs to specific challenges in global organisations and M&A scenarios. A final course introduces the concept of broader intangible asset measurement, of which human capital is a sub-set..
The CHCO Advanced Certificate will enable participants to clarify the role they and their functions can play in leading on issues of human capital management, risk management and organisational governance.
Accredited CHCOs are likely to supplement/refresh their core understanding with advanced General Practitioner courses, as well as drawing on the associated related university and institute network.
